Dr. Supram H.S, Assistant Professor, Dept of Microbiology, MCOMS, has been awarded Ph.D. in Medical Microbiology. Dr. Supram H.S joined MCOMS in 2012. He conducted his research “Detection and molecular characterization of extended-spectrum beta-lactamase and carbapenemase-producing Enterobacteriaceae: a one-health approach” from Jan 2015 and submitted the thesis to the Manipal Academy of Higher education (MAHE), Manipal, India in 2020. The research was conducted under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Indira Bairy, Head, Dept of Microbiology, MMMC, MAHE, Manipal, and Prof. Dr. Niranjan Nayak, Professor, MCOMS, Nepal.

His research was highly appreciated internationally, has been published as six peer-reviewed papers in reputed international journals and he received several grants and awards to present it in the following conferences:

1.   Asia Pacific AIDS & Co-infections Conference- Hong Kong- 2016.

      Award:  Conference Participation Grant - Virology Education, Netherlands.

2.   Asia Pacific HIV Clinical Forum and 3rd Asia Pacific AIDS & Co-infections
