Magh 16, in the Nepali Lunar calendar every year is marked as the National Martyrs’ day, commemorating those   who were executed by the autocratic Rana rulers for voicing the people’s rights. It is observed specifically in memory of the four shahids of Nepal, Dharma Bhakta Mathema, Dashrath Chand, Gangalal Shrehtha and Shukra Raj Shastri. In Deep campus MCOMS, this day was observed in memory of all the known and unknown martyrs of all countries who sacrificed and suffered to protect human rights, democracy and equality.
