Emergency and Trauma services are available 24 hours a day 365 days a year through the Emergency Room.
It is managed by ER Medical Officers working in shifts. For respective specialist’s attention, Consultant doctors as well as Resident doctors from all specialties are available on call. The ER is having a capacity of 25 beds, but during mass casualties (natural calamities, accidents and other disasters) more beds are brought in with extra nursing staff mobilised and relevant trauma specialist doctors (primarily Orthopaedic, General and Neurosurgery) are deputed in ER for efficiently managing the patient load. If required, the patient can be taken for emergency surgery at any time as OT is operational 24x7.
Our ER is well-equipped with 2 critical care beds (supported by individual bed-side cardiac monitors, syringe/infusion pumps, defibrillator and multi-purpose ventilator, which is fit as portable ventilator for transporting patient to ICU/CCU/NICU etc.), one minor procedure room, separate observation room for OBG and Paediatric patients, central MGPS (Oxygen and suction lines), and following diagnostic services are available round-the-clock
For non-ambulatory patients, there is a ramp at the entrance, and opposite the lifts, from Ground Floor all the way up to the top floor. And, for the convenience of all patients, adequate numbers of wheel-chairs, trolleys and stretchers have been kept at the entrance portico – patients may use these while entering the hospital without any charges, but return them after use to the Security.
