The Nursing programme of MCOMS, Pokhara, was established with the joint effort of Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) and Manipal Education and Medical Group (MEMG) Nepal, in November 2000 A.D. (Kartik 2057 B.S.). Manipal Nursing Programme is associated with the Manipal College of Medical Sciences, Pokhara which is recognised by the Nepal Nursing Council.

Services Provided by the Department

Nursing Students are exposing in various clinical settings and provide direct care services to the patients. In community, the remote and unprivileged areas of Kaski district are chosen for community field experience for Nursing Students with the aim to increase health awareness among the villagers and contribute to their better health status. Students conduct survey, home visits, physical examination, nutritional assessment, health action presentation, formal and informal health teaching, mass health exhibition and referral services, School health programme, home delivery, sanitation programmes etc.
