Brig Nagpal has a total of 36 years of Teaching experience and has been Prof. & HOD,
Dept of Surgery at AFMC, Pune. Keeping his professional interest on , he has been
associated with various Professional Associations like - The Association of Surgeons of India, Pune Surgical Society and also the Secretary, The Association of Armed Forces Surgeons of India. His achievement during his years of service includes the Best Paper award: "War Wounds - Changing concepts", MJAFI - 2002. Further, he also received the Chief of Army Staff Commendation, for providing exemplary service in disaster management. Was also awarded Vishist Seva Medal for meritorious service for managing large number of battle casualties during peak of militancy.

Having a Professional Organisation Exposure, Brig Nagpal has worked in various
capacities like Secretary- National Update AFMC 2000 on "Surgery Anaesthesiology &
Critical care", Vice Chairman of Organizing Committee of MASICON 2000, Pune,
Organizing committee -Medical VISION-2001, Pune, International College of Surgeons
West Zone Conference, Pune, Chairman -National Update AFMC 2002 on "Surgery,
Anaesthesiology & Critical Care", Vice Chairman, ASICON- 03, Pune, Chairman-"High
Altitude Medicine 2005" 14 Corps Leh, Joined Army Medical Corps in 1971, served in
various hospitals -field and peace and Admin appointments

He has done his MS (General Surgery) from AFMC, Pune.
