Accomodation 

Students Hostels

100% residential facility is available to all students except Government nominated boys who are permitted to make their own arrangements. There are separate hostels for men and women. All the hostel rooms are provided on a twin occupancy basis and come with furniture, mattress, curtains and other amenities like geysers for hot water. Students are required to bring their own bed linen. During the winters the minimum temperature is around 4 – 8 deg C, so warm clothing, blankets / quilts are needed.

Housekeeping and laundry are provided. Messes in the campus provide Indo-Nepali vegetarian / non-vegetarian food. The monthly mess bill is NPR 2250 for four meals a day. The hostels are looked after by the Hostel Committee headed by the Principal. He functions with the help of one chief warden and individual hostel faculty in charge. The hostel staff consists of caretakers/ block supervisors, other attendants and maintenance staff. The Manipal Servicecorp Facility Management Pvt. Ltd. (MSFM) looks after the maintenance of the buildings and other facilities in the hostels.


Deep Campus: The Basic Sciences students are accommodated in hostels in the Deep Campus. The rooms are planned for twin occupancy. The campus has two dining halls, a canteen, gym, TV, playing fields, communications centre with internet, email, fax, photocopying facilities etc.

Phulbari Campus: Two hostel blocks consisting of six floors, each floor has 40 rooms, provide accommodation for 480 students of the clinical phase. (The rooms are planned for twin occupancy and each has an attached bathroom and balcony). The boys’ hostel basement holds a common dining hall and indoor recreational facilities. The hostel has a communications centre with internet, email, fax, photocopying facilities.

Each hostel has a Warden from the teaching faculty of the colleges who is responsible for the discipline, maintenance of building, allotment of rooms etc.
