There is no entrance test for Indian or non Nepalese students. The admission is on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination.

Eligibility Requirements :

Students willing to apply for the MBBS program at MCOMS should fulfill the following eligibility criterion:

Indian Students: A candidate should have completed his/ her 10+2 exams with at least pass marks in English (E) and an aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Biology (PCB&PCBE). He/ she should have completed 17 years of age.

Note:

• SAT / TOEFL is not required for students.
• If a student has a compartment in any subject, the marks obtained in the pass attempt are considered for calculating eligibility.
• There is no upper age limit and even students who may have passed class XII some years back are eligible.
• Students must submit their applications with photocopies of their class 10 and 12 mark sheets.

Sri Lankan Students:

London ‘A’ Level students: A minimum of 2 credit passes and 1 ordinary pass in Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) or 50% marks in the aggregate of PCB At the 'A' level or the equivalent.
He or she should have at least a credit pass in English at the 'o' level and should have completed 17 years of age. (If there are 4 subjects - Physics, Chemistry, Zoology and Botany/Math then a minimum of 2credit passes and 2 ordinary passes).

Grade Equivalence:

To calculate the eligibility we take the mid point of each grade and this should total up to an aggregate of at least 50%in all the subjects taken at 'A' levels and also when adding the grade for English at 'O' level.

Sri Lankan GCE 'A' level grade & marks equivalence:

Distinction (A): 75-100%. Mid point-87.5
Very Good Pass (B): 65-74%. Mid point-57
Credit Pass (C): 50-64%. Mid point-57
Ordinary Pass (S): 40-49% .Mid point 44.5

Sri Lankan GCE 'O' level grade & marks equivalence:

Distinction (A): 75-100%. Mid point-87.5
Credit Pass (C): 50-74%. Mid point-62
Ordinary Pass (S): 35-49%. Mid point 42

London 'A' &'O' level grade & marks equivalence:

Grade (A): 80% & above. Mid point-90
Grade (B): 70-79 %. Mid point-74.5
Grade (C): 60-69 %. Mid point- 64.5
Grade (D): 50-59 %. Mid point- 54.5
Grade (E): 40-49 %. Mid point- 44.5
Grade (N): Below (E)
